Lynx takes up more space in North America

The increase in Lynx models, from BRP’s Finnish subsidiary, will continue in 2025 on the North American market. For this new vintage, we see the Rotax 858 E-TEC Turbo R engine arriving in hybrid and trail models as well as the 600R E-TEC in a trail snowmobile. Finally, the Brutal, until now considered a sub-range of the Xterrain family, becomes a range in its own right with two new models.

New model in 2025, the RAVE GLS pays homage to Lynx’s very first sport snowmobile launched 40 years ago, the GLS 3300. Its colors pay homage to Lynx’s heritage.

Unlike the RAVE RE that we already know, the GLS is powered by the powerful Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo R, equipped with a coolant injection system. In addition, it will come standard with the 10.25-inch touch screen.

Another new feature in this range is the possibility of ordering a RAVE RE which will be equipped with the 600R E-TEC from Rotax, a first in North America for this engine at Lynx. Finally, the RAVE models will once again be equipped with an Ice Ripper track with 1.5 inch heels, for increased traction.

XTERRAIN

Powered by the 900 ACE Turbo R engine, the Xterrain RE now arrives mounted on the Radien 2 chassis in 2025. This new presentation will allow buyers to benefit from the easily removable transfer arm and LED lighting. This new version makes the 10.25-inch interactive digital screen available as an option.

A version powered by the powerful Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo R is also offered in 2025. Apart from the engine and the addition of the screen, it is identical in all respects to the naturally aspirated version. All Xterrain RE models feature a new Explorer 2 front bumper.

BRUTAL

The old Xterrain Brutal version becomes the Brutal RE for the 2025 vintage.

There are two new versions of this new range. The first is powered by the Rotax 900 ACE Turbo R three-cylinder four-stroke engine.

It arrives on the Radien-X platform. Otherwise, it is identical to the 850 E-TEC version offered last year, including the track which is still the 20 x 154 inch PowederMax with 2.4 inch heels.

The other model is the all-new Brutal RE, mounted on the Radien 2 platform and in turn powered by the Rotax 900 Ace Turbo R. It is equipped with a longer and narrower Powder Max track with dimensions of 16 x 154 with 2.5 inch heels. The front suspension is identical to the model with the wider track, but the rear suspension is the PPS3 DS+, with an uncoupled design that it shares with the Shredders. Like its Xterrain cousins, it is equipped with a sports bench and the Explorer 2 front bumper.

SHREDDER

In the Shredder range, the RE version, with a more acrobatic vocation, receives an upgrade to its shock absorbers, the KYB PRO 46 EA-3 R Kashima front units in place of last year’s KYB PRO 46 HLCR Kashima. This means that high speed compression is no longer adjustable. Also, the riser block is lower, going from 145 to 120 mm.

The DS version returns almost identical to last year, with the exception of painted panels, a change supposed to improve scuff resistance when it comes time to weave between trees.

ELECTRICAL AND CONNECTIVITY

If you are lucky enough to have the 10.25-inch tactical screen on your snowmobile, you will quickly notice very interesting improvements.

Built-in GPS and maps provide access to multiple features without requiring a cell phone connection. Among these, there is the breadcrumb, the compass and the direction of the vehicle, without forgetting the Vibe communication system, which can now be adapted to all BRP 2025 helmets. You can also prepare your routes, download them and even forward them to your friends. In a group, all members will be able to have the route defined at the start in hand.

In the Lynx range of electric models, in addition to the Lynx Adventure Electric model, this season you will see the arrival of a second Lynx Adventure Electric which has been designed this time to move personnel in ski centers or resorts and in places where we cover small distances. Its range is 30 kilometers. This snowmobile is powered by patented Rotax E-Power technology.
