M3 Max chip benchmarks have similar numbers to the M2 Ultra

After the first benchmarks of the M3 processor, we now have chip tests M3 Max no Geekbench 6. More specifically, the measurement was carried out with a computer identified as Mac15.9, with 48GB of memory, which is most likely the new 16-inch MacBook Pro.

The results, as in the case of the M3, were in line with the promises of improvements made by Apple when launching the new Macs with the latest generation chips. More specifically, the M3 Max chip scored 2.943 points in performance with just one core and 21.084 points in multi-core performance.

This result is incredibly similar to that obtained by the M2 Ultra processor, which powers the most recent Mac Pro and Mac Studio, and managed to score 2.800 points on the test single-core e 21.182 no multi-core. It is worth remembering that the “Ultra” chips have, basically, twice the performance of the “Max” chips of the same generation, showing that the M3 Max — which is from a newer generation — has in fact advanced significantly in terms of computing capacity.

The M2 Max, in turn, recorded 14.495 points in multi-core performance, which comes close to Apple’s promise of 50% on the performance of the CPUCentral processing unitor central processing unit.”>1 of the M3 Max compared to its predecessor. With this improvement, the new 16″ MacBook Pro achieved almost the same performance as Apple’s latest desktop computers.

To achieve all this performance, the M3 Max has 16 CPU cores (12 performance and 4 efficiency) and up to 40 núcleos de GPUGraphics processing unitor graphics processing unit.”>2. The chip is also manufactured using a 3 nanometer process, in addition to several other improvements, especially in terms of graphics processing.

All that’s missing now are the results from the M3 Pro chip!
