MA pays Rs 2 crore for Saudi Ihsan project Yusufali

Jeddah: Lulu Group Chairman MA Yousafali has donated 10 lakh riyals (Rs 2 crore) to Saudi Arabia’s national charity project “Ihsan”.

Yusufali raised the money through the Ihsan digital platform developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority to help people in different countries who are experiencing life difficulties. Ihsan officials made the revelation via official Twitter.

According to sources, the project, which started during Ramadan, has so far raised Rs 200 crore. The official inauguration of the project was inaugurated by King Salman of Saudi Arabia with a sum of 3 crore riyals and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman with 2 crore riyals. The project has helped more than 50 lakh people in different parts of the world.

Yusufali, who arrived in Makkah to spend the last days of Ramadan, said he was very happy and proud to be associated with this great charitable cause. He said the project, which was started by King Salman, a servant of temples, was seen as a good deed to help those in distress.
