Announced in WWDC23 and on sale in the United States from June 13th, the Mac Pro with chip M2 Ultra is already available on Brazil.

The Mac Pro, it’s worth remembering, shares some hardware characteristics with the Mac Studio, although it has a very different design. As a main differential, the computer offers six slots PCI Express expansion ports that support the Gen 4 standard, in addition to a seventh space, which is already occupied by the Apple I/O.

As announced by Apple at WWDC, the Mac Pro with M2 Ultra is up to 3x faster than the most powerful model with Intel previously sold. The product, however, disappointed some by not being able to add external graphics cards, which is quite useful especially when considering the highly professional use of the computer.

The chip that powers the professional desktop has 24 CPU coresCentral processing unitor central processing unit.”>1 and up to 76 GPU coresGraphics processing unitor graphics processing unit.”>2, depending on how you configure it. It also supports up to 192GB of unified memory and up to 8TB of storage.

The prices are those published after the presentation of the machine: from R$75 mil (R$67.499,10 visible) in its minimum configuration in the tower model and R$80 mil (R$71.999,10 at sight) in the model rack. The value of the product can reach R$129.635, with all options at maximum device setting. The good news is that Mac Pro includes a Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse in the box.

As of now, shipments of the default settings are estimated at 2-3 weekswhich can go up to 3-4 weeks if you customize your machine.
