Macabre discovery this Saturday, at the Quai des Anglais, in Nimy. A body was in fact found by emergency services, alerted by passers-by who saw it floating in the watercourse. According to the prosecution, which confirmed the information to Sudpresse, it concerns a man born in 1970, who disappeared a few days earlier.
The body had probably been in contact with boat propellers, “a common case in this type of circumstance.” At the time of writing these lines, it is impossible to say whether the death was accidental or linked to the intervention of a third party. Several investigative tasks were requested by the prosecution, which also made it possible to find the identity of the deceased.
An autopsy will take place this Monday.
