“Mad Men” star Robert Morse has died at the age of 90

Tony Award-winner and “Mad Men” actor Robert Morse is dead. The US actor died Wednesday night at the age of 90, his son Charlie confirmed to ABC. Other US media reported on the death, citing Morse’s friend and producer Larry Karaszewski, who praised him on Twitter as a “great talent and wonderful spirit”. Details were not initially known.

Born in Massachusetts in 1931, Morse won the 1961 Tony Award for his role in the Broadway musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He received another theater trophy for his portrayal of the writer Truman Capote in “Tru”. In old age, Morse gained renewed attention for his role as a quirky New York agency boss on the hit series Mad Men.
