2023-11-04 16:11:00

Many people dream of reaching 100 years old… Madame Berthe Lejeune did it. This Friday, November 3, she reached this milestone in the presence of her family, representatives of the Municipality of Thimister but also the staff of the Sainte-Famille residence in Bèfve, where she lives happy days today.

Born on November 3, 1923, Berthe Lejeune is from Andrimont. She also lived in Dison before coming to live with her daughter for a few years in Thimister and then, in September 2019, joining the rest home.

A stay-at-home mother, she raised her 3 children. To this small family were added 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and even 1 great-great-grandchild.

For this exceptional anniversary, she received some gifts from the residence, the municipal administration as well as a frame from the Royal Palace and signed by the King and Queen.
