American singer Madonna expressed her annoyance at the offensive comments about her appearance and features at the recent Grammy Awards.

Madonna, 64, said in a lengthy post on her Instagram page that she was very excited when she presented singer Sam Smith and singer Kim Petras, who is the first “transgender” woman to perform a song on the “Grammy” stage.

Madonna confirmed that instead of the audience focusing on the historic performance by Sam and Kim with the song Unholy, they chose to focus on her looks and features.

Madonna said: “Instead of focusing on my speech in which I thanked Kim and Sam for their courage, many people chose to focus on my close-up photos taken with a long lens camera by a journalist who wanted to show my face distorted.”

And she continued, “Once again, I fell into the trap of hatred and discrimination against women that permeates the world in which we live. A world that refuses to celebrate women over the age of 45, and feels an urgent need to punish them if they continue to show their strength, serious work, and adventurous spirit.”

Madonna ended her speech by saying that she has never and will never apologize for her creative choices, whether in her appearance or her dress, saying: “I have been insulted by the media since the beginning of my career, but I now understand that it is just a test, and I am happy to be the scapegoat so that the women of the world spend less time respond to similar cases in the coming years.

Madonna’s post comes after fans expressed concern about the singer’s mental health when they barely recognized her at the Grammys, where she appeared in a look they said was “suspiciously strange”.

The Post said that Madonna, in her latest appearance, wanted to resemble herself in 2000, wanting to highlight the fight against aging.

While Madonna did not reveal that she had undergone any plastic surgery in recent years, plastic surgeons suggested that she would undergo a face-lift.
