Maduro appoints Juan Arias as the new Minister of Industries and National Production

Nicolás Maduro, President of the Republic, appointed Juan Arias this Friday as the new Minister of Industries and National Production to replace José Biomorgi, who had only been in office for a few months.

The information was made known through social networks, he indicated that his work will be “continue with the economic recovery, through the promotion of the productive sectors. Produce and Produce for Venezuela!”

For Arias, the industry sector is not new to him, since he was president of the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana, when Justo Noguera Pietri left office to launch himself as governor of Bolívar state. He also stuccoed in the Ministry of Basic, Strategic and Socialist Industries as it was called at that time.

He recently served as deputy minister for the Special Economic Zones proposed by the national government.

Another change

In addition, Maduro also appointed Juan Carlos Loyo in the Ministry for Fisheries and Aquaculture, instead of Olga Luisa Figueroa, who had been in office for a few months.
