He revealed that there are several people prosecuted by the Public Ministry due to crimes of illegal extraction of supplies.
The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Thursday that secret inspectors will be deployed in all the country’s hospitals, with the aim of “going head-on against the mafias” entrenched in the public health system.
“An official from the Presidential Inspectorate, secret, for each hospital in the country, who is external and articulates with the health committees and community councils, dot and circle around all the hospitals, overseeing and supporting the hospitals to be reborn and get ahead”, he instructed in the middle of a health day from Carabobo state.
Maduro said that there are mafias that ask patients to buy medical supplies in pharmacies, while the products that are in the warehouse are irregularly withdrawn to be later sold.
He revealed that a group of people are being prosecuted for these crimes before the prosecutor’s office, while reiterating that the national government will go “all the way to build a public, free, quality system that is an example to the world.”
That is why he asked that the 1×10 be formed within the health sector. to end the mafias and attend to the problems.
“We must guarantee supervision, inspection, in addition to replenishing medicines and materials in hospitals so that our people have free, public, universal and quality health,” he launched.
He confirmed that the key to good management is permanent supervision, in addition to seeking solutions to problems that arise, together with the health committees and community councils.
