Maduro rejects US interference in Venezuela’s electoral sovereignty

The Venezuelan president, Nicolas Madurorejected US interference in wanting to become the electoral authority in Venezuela.

“I fully and absolutely reject the United States government’s attempt to become the electoral authority in Venezuela,” the head of state said.

Maduro accused the US president of being part of an “imperial” and “interventionist” diplomacy that, according to him, the US has.

He also highlighted that on Thursday Biden stunned the world when he said he supported holding new elections in Venezuela and, later, a White House spokesperson clarified that the president was actually referring to the absurdity of the minutes not yet being published.

Maduro claimed that President Biden made interventionist statements about Venezuela’s internal affairs, which were later denied by spokespeople, thus questioning who really rules in the United States.
