Magaly Medina is considered one of the biggest stars of Peruvian television due to the success she has had in her program ‘Magaly TV La Firme’. Likewise, the popular ‘Urraca’ has been involved in different judicial complaints for the content that she broadcasts through ATV.
In the last few hours, it was learned that she was sentenced for defaming Jefferson Farfán. The journalist herself received 1 year and 8 months in suspended prison, in addition to the payment of 100,000 soles for civil compensation in favor of the former soccer player.
Also, despite having difficulties with the law, Magaly Medina has decided to take things easy. She is focused on her family at the moment and this has been demonstrated on her social networks, where she showed off next to her husband Alfredo Zambrano.

The television host attended the University of Lima to be part of the notary’s daughter’s graduation ceremony. The presence of the ATV figure did not go unnoticed, as the attendees did not hesitate to take a photograph of him to make it known that the ‘Magpie’ was indeed in said university institution.
Even Magaly Medina herself published videos and photographs of this event, in which she is excited by the successes that her stepdaughter has been reaping. She was moved when she saw that Alfredo Zambrano’s daughter received her graduate diploma, so she yelled loudly to let him know that he was supporting her.
In addition, the host of ‘Magaly TV La Firme’ published a photograph of the notary next to his daughter. She wore the graduation gown and showed the medal, for her part, the ‘Urraca’ only put a sticker that said “congratulations” in English.
It should be remembered that in an interview with Infobae Peru, the journalist indicated that she was not going to talk about the sentence against her, this on the recommendation of her lawyers. Likewise, she specified that she was going through a good family moment, so her legal issues went to the background.
“They are beautiful days for me, very familiar days and I am super well. My nephew, who has just finished his architecture degree, is here on vacation for a week. My husband’s daughter graduates tomorrow from the University of Lima. They are beautiful days that we are celebrating, ”she told us.
Magaly Medina’s lawyer, Iván Paredes, referred to the sentence the journalist received. The lawyer explained that the judges did not condemn “Urraca” for having called Jefferson Farfán “cachudo”, but for a report that his program aired on the purchase of some furniture.
According to the report that was issued in 2019, the former soccer player bought some furniture from Yahaira Plasencia to furnish an apartment located in Surco, which was branded as the couple’s “new love nest.”
They also indicated that the sauce boat went to the Villa El Salvador Industrial Park to buy the furniture with Jefferson Farfán’s money, something that could not be verified, for which Magaly Medina was finally sentenced.
