Panorama (British Columbia) – Austrian alpine skier Magdalena Egger won the gold medal in the women’s World Junior Downhill Championships in Panorama (Canada) on Thursday. The 21-year-old from Vorarlberg was 0.13 seconds ahead of Germany’s Emma Aicher and 0.25 seconds ahead of American Lauren Macuga and has now won a total of four Junior World Championship golds. “I was very nervous at the start. I’m brutally glad that it worked out,” said Egger.
