Mahinda Rajapakk’s police questioned the police in connection with the assault attack on the issues of colombo. At least 10 people were killed and more than 200 were injured in what became known as the 9th of this month.
The CID team went to Mahinda’s residence and questioned him. His son and former minister Namal Rajapaksa was also questioned. Three members of the ruling SLPP were questioned last week. Two leaders arrested earlier are in remand. President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa expressed hope that Japan would provide financial assistance and that the ongoing negotiations would bear fruit soon.
