“EU-Egypt agreement” is an essential step – consistent work is also required in Vienna
Vienna (OTS) – “Today’s signing of the migration agreement by the EU with Egypt in the presence of Chancellor Karl Nehammer shows one thing above all very clearly: the People’s Party is the engine of rethinking in Europe,” said the state party chairman of the Vienna People’s Party, city councilor Karl Mahrer in view of the “EU-Egypt agreement”.
7.4 billion euros will flow to Egypt by 2027 to prevent illegal migration to Europe and to create stability, economic prospects and security locally.
This constructive approach is clearly in contrast to the right-wing agitation and the left-wing dreams. “Using this approach, we are working decisively to stop illegal migration. “We are finally demanding this same consistent work from everyone in Vienna,” continued Mahrer, who also underlined the importance of this agreement, especially for Vienna.
It is clear that Vienna cannot continue to be a magnet for immigrants into the social system. Likewise, our city also needs a clear model for consistent integration with the obligation to adapt. “Vienna must finally face these essential challenges. The People’s Party as a centrist party creates the solutions,” concluded Mahrer.
