The official spokesman for the General Directorate for Drug Control, Major Marwan Al-Hazmi, stated that the security monitoring of drug smuggling and promotion networks that target the security of the Kingdom and its youth; As a result, an attempt to smuggle (6,072,291) amphetamine tablets hidden in a shipment of sweets, citrus fruits and nuts was thwarted, in cooperation with the counterpart apparatus in the State of the Sultanate of Oman, and in coordination with the Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. The recipients of these pills were arrested in the Riyadh region, and they are a resident and an expatriate with a visit visa of Syrian nationality.
