According to the Moscow-appointed regional administration, a major fire broke out following a suspected rocket attack on the Bay of Sevastopol in Russian-occupied Crimea. A shipyard caught fire and at least 24 people were injured, Russian-appointed governor Mikhail Razwoshayev said via Telegram.

Ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet are built and repaired in the shipyard in Sevastopol. Razvoshayev blamed the Ukrainian military for the attack. His information might not be independently verified. The Black Sea peninsula of Crimea was annexed by Russia in 2014 in violation of international law.

Ukraine reports drone attack

Meanwhile, a Russian drone attack on the port of Ismail was reported from the Ukrainian side. According to Ukrainian information, at least six people were injured. “Several groups of drones were fired at Ismail district,” Odessa region governor Oleh Kiper wrote on Telegram.

“Unfortunately there were hits: the port and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.” The full extent of the attack is still unclear. There is currently no statement from the Russian side. The port is one of Ukraine’s most important grain export ports.
