There were a lot of changes in Microsoft’s Xbox department following the very bad Xbox One unveiling, but some stuck through it all. Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, senior director of corporate communications at Xbox, is probably the best known, so today truly marks the end of those days.
Larry Hryb and announcement that he was leaving Microsoft and Xbox following spending 20 years with the company. The reason for this is apparently that he wants to “work on the next chapter” of his career. It doesn’t seem like it means going to another game company or anything, as Hryb goes on to say thank you to all of the gamers who have listened to his podcast and generally included him in their lives over the years. We’ll see where his future lies following spending some well-deserved time with his family.
