Major Traffic Accident on E42 Motorway – Traffic Blockage and Evacuation Delays

One of the heavy goods vehicles had rolled onto its side, obstructing traffic on both lanes of traffic as well as part of the emergency lane. “There was no loss of cargo but the operation to evacuate the damaged vehicles is quite delicate,” the federal police confirmed on Saturday morning.

A diversion was put in place via exit 17 “Courcelles” during the on-site intervention. No injuries were reported.

No traffic until 1 p.m.

Since the accident, the highway has been completely blocked for more than 9 km. A diversion has been set up via exit 17 Courcelles, announced the federal police. The repairer present on site is planning an evacuation operation until at least 1 p.m., concludes the federal police.
