An accident occurred at midday on Friday on the E42 motorway at the interchange with the E19 near Houdeng, towards Mons. A semi-trailer truck rolled into a ditch following the driver lost control.
The accident, which caused no serious injuries, caused major traffic disruptions. The federal police indicated on Saturday that the repair of the truck, which had fallen on the side of the highway, mobilized large resources, in particular a crane. The roadway was not cleared until following midnight Saturday.
