Make sure to ventilate the house even in cold weather!

She says: “Fresh air is necessary for the energy and vital activity of all cells in the body, because the level of oxygen in a closed, unventilated space gradually decreases compared to the rise in the level of carbon dioxide, which leads to poor general health, headaches, decreased performance, poor cerebral circulation, and high blood pressure. In addition, bacteria, microorganisms, as well as allergens multiply and activate in an unventilated room.”

The doctor points out that this increases the risk of transmitting viruses, allergies, and various respiratory diseases. Therefore, it is recommended to ventilate the house every 1.5-2 hours, even in cold weather, by opening the windows in the rooms of the house one after the other for 5-10 minutes each time to quickly replenish the air in the room, or by opening them when there is no one in the house. It is also not recommended to use humidifiers and air conditioners because they do not improve the oxygen level in the rooms.

She says: “To maintain a healthy climate inside the house during the cold season, it must be ventilated regularly, especially bedrooms and children’s rooms, because a lack of oxygen can lead to fatigue and a feeling of malaise.”

According to her, there is another way to provide the house with fresh air, by using a ventilation device that draws air from outside the house and purifies it from allergens, dust, and car exhaust gases, which allows the house’s windows not to be opened in cold weather. In addition, most of these devices also heat the air.
