Makossiri, the clubbing of the future

Passionate ambassador of noise and experimental sounds, the Kenyan Makossiri offers us a dark and abrasive PAM Club which brilliantly reconciles industrial techno and East African rhythms, just like her productions.

At the beginning of 2021, we presented to you the first audiovisual project of Makossiri, discovering on this occasion a surprising and promising artist. At the edge of hardcore music, the young Kenyan produces an experimental sound that she calls “Afro-future-tech”, bringing together the energies of punk, hard-techno and traditional African rhythms. She recently distinguished herself with Juicy Juicy, a debut EP as disturbing as it is exciting, logically released by Hakuna Kulala. With Ugandan MC Blaq Bandana and Egyptian keyboardist Yunis by her side, she used metallic percussion, voices from beyond the grave and murderous basses on six tracks that hinted at an alternative version of clubbing. While waiting for his next EP in preparation on his label Ginene Records, Makossiri presents his new video below and at the same time, takes us deep into the underground with a dense and chaotic set from which you will not come out unscathed!
