The Malambo family, Atlántico, is the symbol of the tragedy that COVID-19 leaves in the country. This Monday the fourth member of the household passed away.
Three brothers, father and mother formed the family nucleus, but in less than a month the pandemic took the life of Yojaris, 42 years old; a few days later it was Édinson, 46; Then it was Marcos, the father, and today the life of Jesus, 44, died out.
María, the mother of the household who is also a carrier of the virus, remained in the ICU for several weeks.
It is still being investigated whether the point of infection was the workplace of Jesus, the last deceased, who was driving one of the ambulances at the town’s hospital.
Malambo is the second municipality in the Atlantic with the most positive cases of coronavirus, a pandemic that already leaves several homes in mourning.
