This project, promoted in collaboration with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, is a measure aimed at encouraging citizens to save on transport costs and use public transport in an era of high oil prices and high inflation.

K-Pass is a system that accumulates a certain percentage of the amount used regardless of the distance traveled. It therefore has the advantage of being simpler, more practical and available throughout the country. The accumulation rate is also higher than the existing economy travel card, leading to greater savings on transportation costs.

Based on the city bus fare (regular card fare of 1,500 won), 300 won for the general public, 450 won for youth, and 800 won for low-income people can be accumulated and refunded. To receive the benefit, you must use. a dedicated card. In this case, the general public can repay up to 216,000 won per year, young people can repay up to 324,000 won, and low-income people can repay up to 576,000 won.

Since the existing economy travel pass service will end on the 30th, for existing subscribers to continue receiving cashback benefits, they must convert to K-Pass on the economy travel pass website before June 30 . If you use it without conversion, no refund will be given.

The K-Pass card can be used as a prepaid and postpaid card. Detailed subscription instructions can be found on the K-Pass website after issuing the desired card.

Daegu City plans to get a total of 5.3 billion won in project spending, including the first supplementary budget, to support the K-Pass. In addition, we plan to continue securing the budget to ease the burden of public transportation on citizens.

Kim Dae-young, director of the Daegu City Transportation Bureau, said, “As many citizens face transportation costs in this era of high oil rates and inflation, we hope that many people will participate so that they can save on transportation costs by using the new K-Pass card.”
