Thiruvananthapuram ∙ Malappuram district captured the overall crown which it lost by a small margin last year in the State School Science Festival. Malappuram bagged the crown by scoring 1442 points in social science, IT and math fairs. Last year’s champions Palakkad finished second with 1350 points. Kannur is at the third position with 1333 points. Last year too, Kannur was at the 3rd position. At the school level, Kasaragod Kanhangad Durga HSS came first with 142 points and Idukki Koombanpara Fatima Mata Girls HSS came second with 138 points. Thrissur Panangad HSS (134) occupies the third position. Thrissur (124) and Palakkad (120) won the first position in the science fair. Kasaragod (119) is third.
Malappuram (132) came first in Social Science Fair. Thiruvananthapuram (125) secured the second position and Kottayam (123) secured the third position. Malappuram (268) stood first in Mathematics Mela. Second place was won by Palakkad (256) and third place by Thrissur (255). In the work experience fair, Malappuram (792) are the champions. Palakkad (746) came second and Kozhikode (739) came third. Malappuram (144) stands first in the IT fair. Kannur (128) was second and Kozhikode (115) was third. Malappuram Mancheri GB HSS is the best school in Science. Palakkad Vaniyamkulam TRK HSS in Maths, Kasaragod Chemmanad CJ HSS in Social Sciences, Kasaragod Kanhangad Durga HSS in Work Experience Fair and Idukki Kattappana SG HSS in IT became the best schools.
