Malayali colleague stabbed to death in Saudi; The accused tried to commit suicide

Jubail ∙ Malayali stabbed to death in Saudi. The accused colleague tried to commit suicide. Muhammadali (58), a private company employee in Jubail and son of Alavi at Cherukara Kattupara Poruthi, Malappuram, died.

The incident took place in Jubail on Sunday followingnoon. Mahesh (45), a native of Tamil Nadu, who lived with him, stabbed Muhammadali with a knife while she was sleeping. Mohammadali, who was seriously injured and ran out, collapsed and died near the door of the next room.

After the incident, Mahesh was found slitting his own throat. He was immediately admitted to the hospital. Mahesh had been suffering from depression for a week. Mahesh told the police that he attempted suicide because of his guilt over the murder. Mahesh has been admitted to the intensive care unit.

He is a native of Chennai and has been working as a machinist in the same company for five years. Tahira is the wife of Muhammad Ali who was killed. There are four daughters. Company officials and volunteers from Jubail reached the Jubail General Hospital where the body is kept and lead the proceedings.
