Mali refuses access to the stadium to Tunisia

In anticipation of his trip to Bamako on March 25 for the dams go of the 2022 World Cup once morest Mali, the Tunisian Federation (FTF) sent a delegation on site to prepare the logistical aspect. The president of the national selections department, the nutritionist and the physical trainer were notably on the trip. Only, everything did not go as the Eagles of Carthage would have liked.

«Various logistical aspects were agreed, such as the choice of residence, accommodation and transport for the Tunisian delegation. The federal delegation was prevented from visiting the stadium where the match will take place (Stade du 26 mars, ndr) and its lawn as well as its facilities, despite multiple attempts with stakeholders in Mali“, regretted the authority.

From a regulatory point of view, nothing obliges a host country to open its stadium to its opponent several weeks before a match.
