Integrated into the professional group last season, Malick Fofana shows clear signs of progress. This season, he has already played 15 games, including 10 starts, with 2 goals and 2 assists.
The young player is inspired by the best, and shares certain traits with…Jérémy Doku. “My friends and teammates compare me to him. A player I admire. His trajectory is incredible. Just like his style of play, his ability to accelerate, one-on-one… I would love to play with him one day”, explains Fofana to The last news.
Performances which caught the eye of the Belgium U21 coach, Gill Swerts, but also of the Guinea selection, who recently called him. “For the A team,” he specifies, he who admits to hesitating between the two sporting nationalities for the future. He still made a little appeal to the Belgium coach, Domenico Tedesco.
“I haven’t made a choice yet, I have to think regarding it. My father was an international player for Guinea – so it’s not an easy choice. What if Tedesco select me? So I say “yes” and I will choose Belgium. But it’s not for now.”
