mThe role of songs in awakening emotions in the human mind is very important. Especially for movie songs. There are many songs like that which Malayali sing by heart even today and have been written and added to the hit list. Many of these songs are appearing in movies nowadays with or without remixes. They are sometimes noticed and criticized. Now a Malayalee’s favorite song is making noise in theatres.
This is the song ‘Pumaname..Oruraga Megham Tha..’ This song is from the super hit movie Nirakoot released in 1985. In the film directed by Joshi, Mammootty played the lead role while Sumalatha played the heroine. Poovachal Khader’s lyrics are composed by Shyam. The song is sung by KS Chitra.
Years after the release of Nirakoot, Mammootty has appeared in a cameo role when this song reached Osler. Adam Sabi, Anaswara Raj and Co. are in the music scene. When the Evergreen song was seen again in the theater without any expectation, all the fans took it all in. The song is sung by Nidhin Siva.
Osler hit the theaters on January 11. Directed by Mithun Manuel Thomas after the 5th Pathira, the film also stars Jagadish, Senthil, Anaswara Rajan, Dileesh Pothan and many others. Osler is getting good response at the box office as well. Meanwhile, Bhramayugam is Mammootty’s upcoming film. A Telugu film called Yatra 2 is also coming up for release.
