Man arrested for micro-drug trafficking in Boconó

On Wednesday, August 28, security forces reported the arrest of a subject who was trafficking and selling drugs in the so-called Jardín de Venezuela.

The Trujillo state police arrested a subject in flagrante delicto in the El Carmen parish of the Boconó municipality, for the crime of micro-trafficking of psychotropic substances.

The report explained that after field investigations, a man identified as García, J. was arrested. He was seized 119 packages of a suspected drug called (cocaine) with an approximate weight of 79 grams, 22 packages of a suspected drug called (marijuana) with an approximate weight of 27 grams, three telephone sets, among other things.

The subject was placed at the disposal of the Flagrancy Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of the Judicial District of Trujillo State.

Officials are urging communities to report these types of crimes so that they can apply the full weight of the law and prevent these substances from causing further harm on the streets.
