Manchester City have strengthened their squad with Spain Under-21 defender Sergio Gomez. The 21-year-old switched to the Premier League from traditional Belgian club Anderlecht on Tuesday.
Gomez was worth 13 million euros plus bonus payments for City. He will primarily be Joao Cancelo’s left-back substitute. Barcelona-trained Gomez is City’s fourth signing of the summer following striker Erling Haaland, midfielder Kalvin Phillips and goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.
