A man in his thirties is said to have died following being “pushed” down the stairs on Sunday followingnoon in southwestern Montreal.

Sunday, around 12:30 p.m., police were called to a residence on Ash Street, located in the southwest of Montreal. Once on the scene, they were able to locate the victim and immediately undertook resuscitation maneuvers. The victim, a man in his thirties, nevertheless succumbed to his injuries.

“The thesis of murder is considered, but not confirmed,” said Véronique Comtois, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

For now, it is still unknown who would have “pushed” the victim, if that is the case. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident.
