The driver was found guilty, after two years of the fact.

The Police of the city of Carroll, in the state of Iowa, shared the electrifying video of the moment in which a person drives at full speed with an agent who tries to stop the car.

He is first holding onto the hood and then the roof of the car while pointing a gun at it and ordering the driver to stop.

“Stop the car!” The agent shouted according to the released material, in response the man accelerated up to 80 km per hour until the policeman, identified as Patrick McCarty, fell to the ground – the fall caused him to fracture a lumbar vertebra -.

The incident occurred on March 5, 2021, when the Police detained the driver of the car for a traffic incident. But very soon the authorities noticed that the passenger had an arrest warrant against him.

“Hey Dennis, I hate to be the one to break this to you, but it looks like you have a warrant for your arrest in Illinois,” the officer said. It was at that moment that the suspect, Dennis Guider Jr., gets into the driver’s seat and decides to hit the road. The policeman stands in front of the car, pulls out his gun and asks him to stop and points it at him.

On March 20, two years after the incident, Guider pleaded guilty to the case and was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
