The body of a man was found on Saturday followingnoon at the Spuikom in Ostend, according to the Flemish media Het Laatste Nieuws. According to our colleagues, he is a man in his forties from Brussels.
The cause of death is not yet known, nor the circumstances of his presence in the water. An investigation was opened by police.
