Man Stabbed on Green Line Train near Naylor Road Station, Suspect in Custody

A man was stabbed on a Green Line train Monday near the Naylor Road station in Maryland, and a suspect was taken into custody, Metro Transit Police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital following the incident was reported around 9:15 p.m. He is expected to survive, police added.

Officers detained a person matching a suspect’s description and recovered a knife. Information regarding his identity or possible charges was not immediately released.

Green Line trains were forced to use a single track during the investigation, with some passengers transferring to finish their journey.

Metro did not report any delays on the Green Line Tuesday morning.
