[스포츠한국 김성수 기자] All the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League this season have been confirmed.
UEFA held the draw for the Europa League quarterfinals at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland at 8:00 pm on the 17th (Korean time).
From the quarterfinals, both teams from the same country and teams from the same group can meet. A random draw will be conducted after excluding all conditions.
In addition, this lottery will decide all of the quarterfinals and finals. The final will be held on June 1 at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary.
Sporting (Portugal), Manchester United (England), Sevilla (Spain), Leverkusen (Germany), Juventus, AS Roma (Italy), Feyenoord (Netherlands), and Union Saint-Giloise (Belgium) will advance to the quarterfinals. On this day, I went to the lottery draw.
From the first match, a big match was concluded. Manchester United, the favorite for the championship, and Sevilla, who have won the most Europa League titles (six times), will clash. Then, Juventus and Sporting meet. Of these four teams, the team that advances to the finals will qualify as the home team for the finals.
Next, Leverkusen-Saint-Giloise, and Feyenoord-AS Roma, the return match for last season’s conference league finals, were confirmed.
The first leg of the quarterfinals will be played on April 14th, and the second leg on April 21st.
