NARRATIVE – In a context of increasing failures, associations help bosses manage the loss of their business.
Month after month, the number of business failures increases. After a historic low during the health crisis, the number of companies in recovery or liquidation is gradually returning to its 2019 levels, with 51,160 failures recorded in September 2023. If the Banque de France tempers concerns about the economic consequences of these bankruptcies for the country, behind each of them there is a boss forced to recognize his failure.
Faced with this increase in failures and knowing that almost half of companies close within five years of their creation, according to INSEE, structures offer to support business leaders faced with the difficulties inherent in this profession, and sometimes to the failure of their project.
