Thiruvananthapuram – One person has been taken into custody by the police in the incident of a fight between a group of youths at Manaviyam Veethi. Shiva, a native of Karamana, was taken into custody by the museum police. An untoward incident took place at Manaviyam Veethi at around two o’clock yesterday morning. An argument over dancing led to a fight. In the circulated footage, the young man was beaten to the ground and continued to dance.
Meanwhile, the museum police filed a report to the city police commissioner demanding control on Manaviyam Veethi. No performances after 12 pm. Registration is mandatory for the participants of the event. Loudspeaker should be banned after 12 noon. The requirement is not to allow more than one art program at a time. The report also states that the current situation will pose a security problem.
