Manchester City made it to the quarter-finals of the English League Cup with a 3-2 win over Liverpool

Manchester City defeated Liverpool in the 1/8 finals of the English League Cup with a score of 3:2.
Erling Haaland (10th minute), Riyad Mahrez (47) and Nathan Ake (58) scored the winners. Jurgen Klopp’s team scored Fabio Carvalho (20) and Mohamed Salah (48).
The Manchester club became the last participant in the quarter-final stage of the English League Cup. Previously, Wolverhampton, Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Manchester United, Leicester and Charlton reached the quarter-finals. The opponents of the teams in this stage will be known after the draw.
Clubs from the four top divisions of the English championship take part in this tournament. Winning the tournament allows the team to participate in the next season of the Conference League.
