“Manchester city” won at home “Burnley” in the match 22nd round of the English Premier League (EPL). The match at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester ended with a score of 3:1.
In the first half, the “townspeople” hit the opponent’s goal twice – Julian Alvarez scored a double, scoring in the 16th and 22nd minutes. The Argentine forward was assisted by Matheus Nunez and Kevin De Bruyne.
At the very start of the second half, the score became devastating – Rodri, following a pass from Phil Foden, sent the third ball into the visitors’ net.
Vincent Kompany’s team was able to respond only with a prestige goal at the end of the meeting – in the 90+3rd minute the result of the match was summed up by Amin Al-Dakhil.
It should be noted that in the 71st minute Erling Haaland entered the field for the first time following the injury – the Norwegian striker of the “citizens” replaced De Bruyne.

The victory allowed Manchester City (46 points) to return to second position in the Premier League, beating Arsenal of Ukrainian Alexander Zinchenko. Burnley (12 points) is in the relegation zone in penultimate, 19th place.
