Manchester City vs Real Madrid: who will reach the semi-finals?
In the Champions League the second leg of the quarter-finals is coming up and Manchester United will face Real Madrid. In the first leg, the reigning English champions secured a 3-3 draw and thus secured an excellent starting position for the second leg. If they win, Man City will be in the semi-finals, a draw would mean extra time and if they lose, head coach Pep Guardiola’s team will be eliminated from the premier class.
Last season, Real Madrid also drew in the first leg, but then lost 4-0 to Manchester City in the second leg. That shouldn’t happen this year, but the task is anything but easy, Toni Kroos also knows that. “Above all, we have to do much better than last year. We know that City are probably a level stronger at home. And we have to prepare for that,” said the DFB star in an interview with DAZN after the first leg.

Manchester City were anything but dissatisfied after the first leg. “We’ll take that with us,” said head coach Pep Guardiola after the 1-1 draw in Spain, knowing full well that his team can still move up several gears in their home stadium.
