Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinz has given an update on his injury which deprived him of the end of the 2022/23 season.
Licha had to leave the first leg against Sevilla in the quarter-finals of the Europa League in April, and was later found to have fractured a metatarsal in his foot.
This injury then deprived him of the rest of the season, but the Argentinian is now one step closer to his return to the first team.
In an Instagram post, Licha gave fans positive news ahead of next month’s pre-season tour.

Licha’s message is as follows:
“We are getting closer”
. A short message, but one that is sure to excite many United supporters.
He worked at Carrington after successful surgery, which “went really well”, as he previously said.
Erik ten Hag has previously said he hopes Martinez will recover in time for our tour of the United States, before the start of the 2023/24 campaign in August.
Since his transfer last year, our number 6 has stood out for his defensive prowess on the pitch and the passion he has shown since then – a mutual feeling between Licha and the fans.
