Manchester United have signed Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. The period is until June 2024.
The 26-year-old has played 230 games for Real Madrid, Sevilla, Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish national team played six games and won the Europa League and FIFA Club World Cup.
Regilon expressed his feelings as follows.
“You have to live life and be prepared for everything. The opportunity to play for a club with a great history is an opportunity you cannot turn down. Talking with the director, I could see that I was really needed. I am ready to help the team move towards success.”
“I believe I can contribute for Manchester United this season. I am ready to fight together, ready to show my abilities.”
Manchester United’s Director of Football, John Murteau, commented:
“As soon as the need for another left-back came to the fore, we set some targets and quickly signed Reguilon. He has everything we need this season. He also has good experience in the Premier League and European competitions. I am ready to join the squad and play.”
