Erik ten Hag was pleased with his Manchester United side’s performance against Arsenal at the MetLife Stadium as the Reds recorded a third straight pre-season victory.
Following wins over Leeds United and Lyon in our first two games of the summer, in Oslo and Edinburgh respectively, we began our summer tour of the United States in a similar vein, with first-half goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho securing a 2-0 win.
The Reds went on to win the penalty shoot-out 5-3, which came after regulation time and was decided on a Fabio Vieira shot crashing into the crossbar, while the other eight shots were all converted.

“I think it’s very good. I was very happy with the way we played, our activity in possession and off the ball.

“Of course, these are all great matches. We have to go there and it helps us to progress, and above all these opponents are good. Arsenal are a very good opponent. They played incredibly well last season in the Premier League so yeah it’s good to play against them, you’ll be better.
