Manchester United’s new signing, Andre Onana, has been confirmed.
Onana, who also plays for the Cameroonian national team, joined Manchester United from Inter Milan on Thursday. His contract is for 5 years, with the option of a 1-year extension.
This is not the first time that Onana and Eric ten Haag have had a relationship. He was with Ajax from 2016 to 2022, and Onana has a record of 214 appearances.
Onana boarded a plane to participate in the pre-season tour 2023 in the United States. Onana wears the number 24 jersey at Manchester United.
The number was worn by Onana at club level, and she also won the Champions League with Ajax and Inter Milan.
Number 24 has not been owner since January 2021 at Manchester United. Previously, Timothy Fosu-Mensah took over.
During the Premier League era, various players played with that number, including Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Wes Brown and Darren Fletcher.
Fletcher, who currently serves as Manchester United’s technical director, has played two of his 342 appearances in the number 24.
