Out in May 2020, Maneater is one of those games with a wacky concept: it’s an action RPG, but where you play as a shark. A terror of the seas that will be able to crunch anything that moves, and above all, cause mayhem near the beaches. The title was rather well received by critics and gamers, despite some pretty annoying flaws. After availability on PlayStation Plus and free in the Epic Games Store, the title makes us a final announcement.
A final physical version
Developer Tripwire Interactive renews its partnership with Deep Silver to announce a new physical version stamped Maneater Apex Edition. This boxed edition will arrive on September 30, 2022 and will be available on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is neither more nor less than the bundle which includes the game and its DLC which is already sold in digital version on the various stores.
The opportunity for players who have not yet tried the adventure to embark on the sea. As a reminder, the DLC is titled Truth Quest and adds additional content, with a new island to explore off the coast of Port Clovis, and brings additional evolutions, challenges and animals. Unfortunately, this physical edition is only planned for the old generation, nothing for the PS5 or the Xbox Series X|S.
