Pennsylvania: The search for Danelo Cavalcante, the killer who escaped from a Pennsylvania prison, continues for the sixth day. All the schools in the area were closed because the killer was dangerous. The killer was captured on a home surveillance camera around 12:30 a.m. Saturday in Pocopson Township, about 1.5 miles from the jail. He was wearing pants, a light colored t-shirt and white shoes. He has long curly hair and is wearing a backpack.

Cavalcante was convicted of first-degree murder in the Aug. 16 fatal stabbing of his 33-year-old ex-girlfriend. He was sentenced last week to life in prison without parole and was scheduled to be transferred to a correctional facility within four weeks, Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan said. It was during this time that he escaped from prison.

Hundreds of law enforcement officers, including US Marshals, SWAT and other federal agencies, are currently searching the surrounding area. Authorities are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information on Cavalcante, a native of Brazil. There is also a murder charge against the guard in Brazil.

Acting prison warden Howard Holland said an investigation was underway into how he escaped. The suspect is five feet tall and weighs 120 pounds. Speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English. Officials said anyone with information about the suspect should call 911.
