Bad news for the CASHPOINT SCR Altach: Manuel Prietl tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee on Friday morning during the final training session before the away game against WSG Tirol.
The 32-year-old midfielder was only signed at the beginning of October and has signed a contract until the end of the season. After his debut against FC Red Bull Salzburg, Prietl recently played over 90 minutes for the first time in the cup game against FC Blau-Weiß Linz and against SK Rapid Wien.
Prietl is currently testing a conservative treatment method with the SCRA medical department. Whether an operation is necessary will only be decided over the next few days. He will be missing from CASHPOINT SCR Altach for several months.
