Many PC players were unhappy with the Resident Evil update – DTF Games

After a recent update, Capcom removed support for DirectX 11 from Resident Evil 2/3/7, and also increased the system requirements for its previously released projects.

At the moment, players are changing their reviews on steam to negative, and are also calling on the forums to make a request for a refund. The indignation is logical, because at the time of purchase the games worked, but now many have simply lost the opportunity to play them.

In their feedback, frustrated users point to the loss of the ability to run games on Windows 7 and 8.1, the inability to use mods, the lack of a choice between DirectX 11 and 12, as well as a general drop in performance compared to the gameplay on DirectX11.

Those who were able to run the game with ray tracing were also disappointed, as they are paired with AMD FSR 1.0, which greatly “soaps” the image. (In this case, it is recommended to use the interlaced rendering mode available in the settings, and not the advanced technology of spatial upscaling).

Updates were released free of charge, it would seem that such a generous gift should only be praised, but many PC users do not think so…
