Doha: Cristiano’s wife Georgina Rodríguez criticized coach Fernando Santos following Portugal lost to Morocco in the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar. Georgina wrote on Instagram that Santos’ decision not to include Cristiano in the starting XI was wrong and by the time he got on the field, it was too late.
“Your friend and coach made the wrong decision today. He is a person whom you admire and respect a lot. That guy has seen many times how the game changes when you step on the field. But today is too late. You can never underestimate the best player in the world, his strongest weapon. Life teaches us lessons. We didn’t lose today. Instead, a lesson was learned. Big lesson’ Georgina wrote on her Instagram story alongside a picture of Cristiano.
Earlier, Georgina came out with criticism following the superstar was sent off in the pre-quarters once morest Switzerland.
